12U Southern Maine River Rats player Brock Gibbons is anything but average when it comes to his skill level on the baseball field.  In 3 years he has won 2 EBL Championships at the 9U & 10U Division I level and was runner up last year at the 11U Division I level.  Here is Matthew's interview with EBL:

What age level and team are you on for the 2019 season?

Gibbons: I am on the Southern Maine River Rats 12U Black division I team.

What positions do you play?

Gibbons: I play pitcher, 1st base and outfield. My favorite position is pitcher.

How do you like playing for the River Rats program?

Gibbons: I love playing for the River Rats program.  I think the winter training and how well we know each other makes us succeed.

How does your 2019 team look?

Gibbons: I feel like we have gotten bigger, stronger, faster and worked on our knowledge of the game.

Is there a game or tournament that you remember the most?

Gibbons: I really enjoyed going to Baseball Heaven in 2016.  Great fields and solid competition.  I would have to say my favorite so far was the USA Baseball in Cary, NC.  The fields were amazing and I got to play with some of the best players from around the country.

How do you like playing in the Elite Baseball League?

Gibbons: I love it.  Great competition. I love playing on the different fields and getting to know the different players in New England.

Who is your favorite baseball player?

Gibbons: Bryce Harper
