Baseball has and will always be a huge part of the Rappoli family household. It all starts with the dad Paul Rappoli who is the owner of the GBG Hawks Baseball Program and former player of the Boston Red Sox organization for 8 years.  His two sons Reece and Nolan have now taking over the reigns in the Rappoli family and have excelled in doing so. Reece is now committed to playing college baseball at Brown University and Nolan is currently playing on the 12U Division I GBG Northeast team.

"Reece is going to have a great college career he is one of the best ever to play in the EBL, he is going to be missed.  I loved watching this kid play and compete at the highest level. What I like about Reece is he always played his best in the biggest games and it was pleasure to watch.  I can not wait to follow his college baseball career at Brown University."  Mike Costantino (owner of the EBL)

Here are the EBL questions for Reece:

EBL: What EBL program do you play for and what age level?

Reece Rappoli: I play for the GBG Northeast 17U Team.

EBL: What positions do you play?  What is your favorite position?

Reece Rappoli: I play shortstop and 2nd base.  Shortstop has always been my favorite position.

EBL: What High School do you attend?

Reece Rappoli: Xaverian Brothers High School

EBL: How do you like playing for the GBG Hawks?  What coach or coaches from the Hawks have had the most impact on your young baseball career?

Reece Rappoli: I've loved playing for GBG for the past 5 years.  I love playing for my Dad and Coach Don Donato and certainly would not be the player or person I am today without them. They along with Chris Welch at GBG have helped me throughout the college recruiting process and always stress the importance of improving on the field and in the classroom.

EBL: How does your GBG Hawks team look this year? What are your team strengths?

Reece Rappoli: Our team is looking really good this year. We have some really good pitching and a lot of athletic players who can play anywhere and swing the bat.

EBL: What program do you get the most pumped to play?

Reece Rappoli: I always get fired up to play the Legends Prospects, they're always talented and well coached so you need to be at your best.

EBL: How do you like playing in the Elite Baseball League?

Reece Rappoli: I loved playing in the EBL because it's always against the top competition which has helped me develop into the player I am today.  Every week was a different experience playing against talented teams from all over New England.

EBL: What is the most memorable game or tournament that you have ever played in?

Reece Rappoli: The most memorable game I ever played in was in the finals of the Legends Tournament in 2016.  I pitched a complete game against a very strong offensive Legends team, I also was able to help my team offensively to win the Championship.  That was the most fun I've ever had playing baseball.

EBL: I noticed that you committed to play College Baseball at Brown University.  What made you choose Brown?

Reece Rappoli:  The first time I toured Brown University I immediately fell in love with the campus environment before even learning about the baseball program. Brown is obviously a great school with a great baseball program, it's where I knew I belonged right away.

EBL: If you had to give any advice to the younger players in the EBL what would it be?

Reece Rappoli: My advice would definitely be just to have fun playing the game because it doesn't last forever. When you're older you'll go to showcases and tournaments where everyone is watching you and there can be a lot of pressure, so just enjoy being able to have fun and playing with your friends now. The friends you make in the EBL can be some of your closest friends.

Nolan Rappoli: I live in Foxboro, Ma, I'm in the 6th grade.
